News4u-News Desk-Indian envoy to Nepal Rakesh Sood on Monday met Nepali Congress president Girija Prasad Koirala and discussed the current political situation in the country.

Sood went to Koirala’s residence at Maharajgunj and discussed various issues, including the ongoing peace process, expansion of the new Cabinet and Constitution drafting, Nepali Congress sources.

The Indian Ambassador’s meeting with Koirala, especially on the eve of expansion of the three-member new Cabinet, is regarded in Kathmandu as significant.

Sood also met senior leader of CPN-UML K P Sharma Oli.
