Nepal Ex-Premier Koirala admitted to hospital
News4u-News Desk-Former Prime Minister and incumbent Nepali Congress president Girija Prasad Koirala was on Tuesday admitted to Martyrs’ Ganga Lal Memorial Heart Centre for lung treatment.
According to Koirala’s aides, the ailing 86-year-old politician is suffering from accumulating water in the lungs, cold and fever.
Koirala was scheduled to fly to Singapore on Tuesday itself for a medical check up, however, his immediate condition could not allow him to board the plan and had to be admitted to the local hospital, as confirmed by his political advisor Suresh Chalise.
Koirala has been Premier of Nepal for four times, during 1991-1994, 1998-1999, 2000-2001, and 2006-2008.
