News4u-News Desk-Karnataka Cabinet has been expanded on Thursday with Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa inducting rebel legislator M P Renukacharya, who was administered oath of office at a simple ceremony at Rajbhavan by Governor Hans Raj Bharadwaj.

Thus the Cabinet size reached maximum of 34, including Chief Minister, as allowed in the constitution.

The induction of second time Legislator from Honnali was identified himself in the dissident groups which had raised the banner of revolt against Yeddyurappa recently.

Chief Minister had taken a decision to induct Renukacharya after the rebel group legislators threatened to resign, affecting the stability of the Saffron Government.

Senior ministers including Panchayath Raj Minister Jagadish Shettar, Water Resources Minister Basavaraj Bommai, senior civil and police officers were also present on the occasion.

However, absence of BJP legislators from Bangalore city, State BJP President Sadananda Gowda and BJP National General Secretary H N Ananthkumar were conspicuous in the event.

It was the sixth time that Chief Minister was expanding his cabinet since came back to power in May 2008.
